Jaltemba Cup The first Jaltemba Cup was held  in 2007 February 24 and 25 in 2007. The concept originated with Gary Stackhous, Dorothy and Bill Bell. The idea was to have a community challenge for the Jaltemba area and at the same time donate to a charity. Lo de Marcos VS La Peñita. Guayabitos VS the RV Park. The concept quickly grew quickly and 21 teams played against each other over the 2 day event. Volunteers came out in droves and helped organize and make sure the event ran smoothly. The dinner was BBQ by Harold and Larry on the Road Kill Grill. Music, the Perez Brothers, was provided by tournament funds. All Monies went to the Dana Farbor Cancer Fund.                         The Winning Team, Teco Lopez, Charles Hanshaw, Poncee Escobito and Larry Baron Jaltemba Express Publisher (now the Jaltemba Sol) Bill Bell presents The Jaltemba Express Golf Cup to the winners of the Community Challenge Golf Classic to winners Charlie “Two Hands”, Larry “The Baron”, Teco “No Sexo” and Poncie “The Hawaiian Stallion” The Cup will be in the hands of the La Peñita team for one year and proudly displayed at Hinde and Jamie's Restaurant...Money raised went to the Dana     Farber Cancer fund .
