A "Bernie" Marlin The INSTRUCTIONS THAT FOLLOW ARE A BEST ATTEMPT TO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION NECESSARY TO OBTAIN MEXICAN FISHING PERMITS. IF THEY DON'T WORK YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. MAKE SURE ANY NAME OR INFORMATION ABOUT YOU IS EXACTLY CORRECT IN SPELLING AND MATCHES YOUR DOCUMENT THAT YOU ARE USING TO GET YOUR PERMITS. SINGLE CLICK ON THE ITEMS AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK TRY DOUBLE CLICK INSTRUCTIONS BEGIN: Open your browser (you must use Internet explorer by Microsoft or some numbers will not come up) Type in the address of: sagarpa.gob.mx U
The resulting page is predominantly blue in color, in the right hand column under "Programas y Servicios" click on the first entry "e5cinco" This should take you to the page headlined "SOLICITUD EN LINEA" (online applications)
Now click on "Pesca Deportivo-Recreativa" (Sportsfishing)
While you are here scroll down to the bottom of the page, see where it says "Otras Herramientas" and within it "Pago de Derechos" , This is where you will come to after you get your paid receipts from the bank. Its a good idea to bookmark this page so you can come back quickly when you return.
Now go back up to "PESCA DEPORTIVO - RECREATIVA" and click on it
You should arrive at a page titled "PAGO ELECTRONICO" This first section is "Derechos Productos y Aprovechamientos"
Under "ENVIO DE SOLICITUD A CONAPESCA" click on the middle circle on the left, "para extajeros"
The next section "DATOS DEL SOLICITANTE" is filled out as:
1. In the block on the first line farthest to the right enter your PASSPORT NUMBER or your FM-3 NUMBER
2. In the block above "PRIMER APELLIDO(4)" ENTER YOUR LAST NAME
3. In "Nombres o Razon Social(6) enter your first and second names but make sure it is exactly as it appears in the passport or FM-3
4. In "direccion" enter your house street address here in mexico, exactly as it is in your FM-3 if you are using one
5. In "Estado" click on the down arrow on the end of the block and select the state of Nayarit
6. In block labeled "C.P. " enter 63726 which is the postal code for LaPenita and Rincon, If yours is different use it but it must match the FM-3
ANY ERROR NO MATTER HOW SMALL WILL INVALIDATE THE APPLICATION
7. In the "PAIS" block leave it as mexico if using a mexico address
8. Enter Nayarit in the Estado block from the drop down list of states
9. Enter your e-mail address in the "correo electronico" block
10 Enter your local telephone number if you have one
The next section is "Click and select" and identifies what license you are requesting
Individual fisherman only for one year is the usualand will cost about $482 pesos, if you have a boat you must license it as well. For your information all passengers must be licensed if there is any fishing tackle on board
In the next section "Zona de Pesca" enter Nayarit and leave the "Aguas Jurisdicion Federal" as is.
Next scroll down to the end of the page and click on "IMPRIMIR HOJA DE AYUDA" this prints out a page titled" HOJA DE AYUDA PARA EL PAGO EN VENTANILLA BANCARIA" YOU SHOULD GET TWO OF THESE one for $447 pesos and one for $35 pesos
Take these two pages to the bank and pay for the permit. You will receive a receipt for each amount and each type of license you submit.

ow go back to the page you bookmarked and in the lower right hand corner is the " OTRAS HERRIMIENTRAS" in the Registrar Pago de Derechos click on this area and when the new area appears put in the number you used originally from your passport or your FM-3, then click on "buscar"Up will come the information for you, check to make sure everything is exactly right, then click on "Ver infromacion" When the "Permiso con Vigencia" with included dates is displayed click on the printer displayed in the lower right hand corner, You should now be the proud possessor of a mexican fishing license as soon as it prints out
